Mark Burrell CV 

 

Mark Burrell is an award-winning artist and an established professional fine art painter. Born in Lowestoft in Suffolk, he is an artist of visionary imagination, often painting his hometown, creating multiple stories, that are interwoven throughout his work. 

Mark and his work have appeared on television seven times, winning Anglia Televisions 'First Prize', on the program ' Moving Art' presented by George Melly, chosen by Bill Oddie and interviewed by Sister Wendy Beckett. In London, he won the Lucy Morrison Memorial Prize at the Royal Overseas League and had work exhibited in The House of Commons and The Royal Academy. Mark was also highly commended twice in Kings Lynn's Eastern Open and is a founding member of The North Sea Magical Realists.

In Europe France, Norway and Holland, and closer to home Mark's work has been shown in London at The Mall Galleries (Discerning Eye), The Tripp Gallery, The Splinter Gallery, Le Chat Noir Gallery, Logos Gallery, as well as The Fruit Market Gallery Scotland; The Minories Colchester, Chappel Galleries Essex, Assembly House Norwich, and Norwich Castle. Mark is a resident artist at The Ferini Art Gallery, Pakefield, Suffolk, and taught painting and drawing for pleasure at Lowestoft College.
